Andrew Welsh, 36, was also given a 14-month jail term, suspended for two years, and ordered to carry out 200 hours of community service after being caught by the girl's mother, who found him hiding under her daughter's bed.
Bolton Crown Court heard he was caught when the girl's mother returned home unexpectedly one morning last July.
