A 35 year old woman, Esohe Ogbeiwi, has been arrested by police in Edo state Nigeria for allegedly roasting her ex-lover, Peter Osayi, to death.
She reportedly poured petrol on the victim and set him ablaze.The suspect had two children with the deceased ex lover. Family members told journalists that the deceased had a dispute with the suspect and she later invited him for settlement. It was at the point of settlement that she allegedly poured petrol on her ex-lover and lit a match.
Peter was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and died a day later. Esohe was subsequently arrested and the case has been transferred to the homicide department. A brother to the victim who gave his name as Moses said "We want the government to give us justice, he was roasted alive. My brother told me before his death not to allow the girl escape" Police spokesman, Uwoh Noble, confirmed the incident and said investigations were still on.
